Horse hay is usually a better grade of hay and has no mold or mildew to it. The blister beetle is usually just found in Alfalfa hay, not a problem in grass hay. I keep my cow hay seperated from the horses, because moldy hay will sicken or even kill a horse, but a cow, with her dual stomach, can process it just fine. If it's decent hay, just not suitable for horses, I'd sure go for it. What with the price of hay, I'll take any I can get........
