off task question for Kentucky folks

Hey, I get to go to the National History Conference-NCHE- in April in Louisville. My good friend and I are planning on going to the Lexington Horse Park on one day. Are there any other places we should get to in between Lexington and Louisville? We have all day Wednesday and then I think we go on a tour most of the day Thursday and the conference is Fri and Sat. Any restaurants, etc. that are MUST GOES? in the Lexington or Louisville area?

In April, Keeneland Race Track is open and running - they're in Lexington, not far from the horse park. There are lots of things to see and do but I will let someone from that immediate area respond.

We live about 1 1/2 hrs south kind of in between Louisville and Lexington in a little town and love it! Been to this area before??
