my guess would also be angus/jersey cross as well. Good looking cow with a lot of rich milk.

yeah you are both right....

funny her full sister and half sister out of that bull don't look any thing like her

they look like black jerseys with smaller bags

she has the beef body and milks like a dairy,

only problem is she has a fat neck( angus) and little head( jersey) and can squeeze out of headgate if she wishes, but she doesnt....

this is her second freshening

Nice cow. Looks alot like my Lowline angus/jersey cross cow, only bigger.

This is the breed combo I've promoted, especially if you don't need a ton of milk. And you get more beef out of them than pure Jersey. And polled, as you say. Of course, when crossing, results vary, but my cow has been great for me. Recently discovered with better hay she can produce 3 gallons a day 8 months after calving (calf still takes some of it). Not bad for a small cow that's half beefer.

Here's last summer's picture - heifer in foreground is same mix as your calf - 3/4 Jersey, 1/4 angus(lowline).

sorry donna she is sold....but just had a little bull born in the snow 2 weeks ago, and the rest of the ladies have yet to calve....your calfs mamma, HER mamma , Her daughter and her 2 other sisters...

it is a good cross, she does have a better bag and meatier body than her 2 sisters i have left..they look just like black jerseys, horns and all, tho' one does have the short stocky legs.

I get 2 gallons in the morning milking alone from her, calf nurses the rest of the day.

I use photo bucket for my pictures, but have trouble because we are on rural dial up so it takes for ever, OR i would post a lot more pictures.
