spraying effects on milk cow and such?

We are looking to buy a home that has one drawback that we see....

It is right in the middle of a huge potatoe field. It is 3.7 acres +1 the farmer lets the buy use. I asked the farmer and he said that they rotate the crop between potatoes and oats in those fields. He said they don't spray poisons, that the poisons are injected into the dirt at planting and aren't used again the rest of the year. He said they don't put the poisons in when they grow the oats.

BUT

He said they do spray fungicide once a week (no matter whether it is potatoes or oats). I have done searches on google and it seems like they all are saying that fungicides have no known effects on humans and livestock (known effects grrrr).

My problem is... Im worried about the idea of eating a drinking meat, milk and eggs that have been exposed to these things. But then I think I am sure the stuff we get at the store is exposed to worse if not at least the same.

Does anyone here have experience with potatoe farming and know if there are any problems with dairy and such?

Thanks
Mike

Juat north of me is potato country. With some big dairies mixed right in. Haven't heard of any problems with any of that.

I lived on a potato farm as a renter years ago. I can't say that I know about the effects on livestock, but I do know it was a nightmare for us.
After one year of once a week spraying and the nausea that comes from it drifting in the house, and the thought of all those nasty chemicals invading our bodies..........I couldn't take it anymore. Had to move.
