My hubby stops at the barn before work so I got the call at 5am.
Tully had her calf with out us- it's a girl!!!! Swiss Chalet, she is perfect.
So I am back to the barn now to milk- just wanted to share.

Congrats on the new heifer calf. One hopes that all goes well with her and dame.

Our new heifer calf "Mary", yet less than a week old, is doing great despite the very cold weather. Tulip and Mary did "make the Welkin ring" yesterday with their pitious cries when they were for the first time separated by a wire fence. This we did to get Tulip in the mood to give us her milk once a day; 12 nighttime hours with her calf and 12 daytime hours on the other side of the fence works well for us.
