Questions! Questions!

Question 1: My Jersey has a split hoof and she is limping on it.....any suggestions...should I put something on it....trim it....leave it alone?

Question 2: My Annie (aka My Jersey) has always been gentle and layed back.....not time for to breed again.....but she has started this kinda "butting" me. NOT GOOD in my opinion. What do you guys think is the best way to stop her from doing this?

Thanks for any help.

My Jersey heifer has a tendency to want to butt me and play rough, especially when she sees me coming with the feed can. I take a switch with me, and when she acts like she's going to butt me or knock me down, I give her a smack. She's learning!
