I managed to catch it last night. don't worry....you didn't look like an idiot. hopefully you raised some awareness for other farmers so this doesn't happen again! sounds to me like some kids needed to get into trouble on a Sunday night with no school on Monday. Very sad

The more strangers we invite to our homesteads, the higher the chance of thievery, vandalism and disgusting brutality like this. This is just a general statement we all should be thinking about when we barter directly with the masses. I for one do sell off the farm, but keep it to a minimum for obvious reasons. Keep you spirits up Liz, you have friends in Tennessee who wish they could help….TJ

You did not look like an idot on TV. My dad even said while we were milking the next morning how emaculately clean your barn was! I am sorry for your lose and I am glad you told your story so hopefully these people will be caught. Plus it is always nice to see a picture of happy healthy cows on the news!

Liz

Been meaning to PM you but haven't had the time, but anywho.

There is a local dairy farmer retiring and they are having a herd dispersal auction the 27th of this month, I know it's a ways to go, but thought I'd let you know about it.

Hi Liz

I was surprised to see you on the Ch 2 news and then absolutely horrified when I heard the story. I would have been in a rage! And to not have a clue as to the culprit(s). Any ideas whatsoever?
That poor defenseless animal. I'm sure you continue to be heartsick over this - I know how I get even if I lose a chicken.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and that you will soon add another beautiful milker to your wonderful family.
Lynn
