A new Dexter is born!
Saturday night we had a new Dexter heifer born! A series of pictures have been posted on www.flickr.com, this may be the link

, if not search on "Freehold Farms" as member name. The pictures start about 6:20pm and continue until 10:10pm when she is born. Second heifer born this month. First one on 9/1/07, second one on 9/29/07. These are our first, bought two yearling heifers just over a year ago, then another heifer and a bull. So the bull has thrown 2 heifers so far. Waiting on number three. We did not get pictures of the first one. The second one was due 9/4/07, so the first service did not take and we were just watching her close for her to calve, did not know a date. The third one is due 10/19, but I do not believe that one took either. So the waiting continues.
