When I was a kid my 2 yo nephew was staying with us. We awoke one morning to find him missing. After a frantic search we found him in the barnyard..... playing with the BULL!!!!!

Have you any idea as to how dangerous that situation is? One major head butt to the kid in a downward thrust and the child would be dead. I guess ignorance is bliss.

I thought the same thing. Even just bolting past, the cow could do serious harm to that child. I hope this turned out well. It must have .

That's why I asked what happened next. At the instant of the shot, the cow is ready to bolt, and is much more scared than the child. But in the next heart beat that baby may be the one terrified - and rightfully so.

If the cow doesn't have anywhere to retreat to, it could bolt right over that child. I've been run over by a horse - not fun. For that baby it would be more like being run over by and elephant.
