Milking Pregnant Cow?

I've been milking a jersey dam that had a calf exactly two years ago. She has been running with a bull; however, to me, she doesn't look pregnant. During the last two weeks, her milk tapered off to virtually nothing; consequently, I quit milking her. Could the loss of milk be due to pregnancy? If so, is it a reliable indicator time wise as to when she would calve? If so, how long? Thanks for any replies.

call the vet they can tell easily if she is pregnant. When was the last time she came into heat? You can bump for a calf.

You can't bump for a while yet.

Pregnant cows still give milk, but after two years all bets are off.

Depends, she doesn't say how long the cow has been with the bull.

A lot of it just depends on the cow. Some cows will taper way off, some won't. Due to terrible record keeping we have milked a cow up to 2 weeks before she delivered (which is a BAD thing to do as it ruined her milking cycle and we had to get rid of her).

Bull

The bull is two years old. She has been with him since he was 6 months old.

If she isn't bred and well along by now, something is wrong with one of them.
