Just had to share a couple pics of the new baby

We just this afternoon brought home, baby Nonnie (NO-knee) named after my great aunt Nola (who gave me a love of jersey cows, along with all things country. She taught me to garden, to cook & to can. I always wanted to be HER when I grew up. I've gotten close LOL) If she were still alive she'd be honored to have a little heifer named after her.
Nonnie just turned 2 weeks old yesterday. She is everything we'd hoped for. Pretty, friendly, curious. Her breeder has done a great job with her. I'm just so pleased with her (we'd been waiting for her for a long time) I just had to share.

Susie she is real cute. And I know she fell into the best home she could find. Good luck with the little one.

Thank you. We are really excited about her. (we've been waiting quite awhile for her to be born) Her breeder is just the sweetest lady. She's done a great job with Nonnie, she's friendly, outgoing, curious. She's moved right in. She chased after the prys. She is rooming in with the spring doelings. (at this point she likes them, much better then they like her )

I think a jersey bottle heifer would make a PERFECT gift. I sure hope he finds one for you. (with the milk prices and so many people wanting family milkers baby heifers are getting not only costly, but hard to find) good luck in your search.
