Dexter cattle for Sale

Drought throughout most of the east coast with hay shortages, crop failures, and escalating forage prices forces herd reduction !

If you have always had a hankerin' for Dexter cattle, these prices should be tempting. Mature Dexter cows and heifers $500-$900. Mostly Peerless bloodlines, and a couple with Lucifer of Knotting bloodlines (genetics off an English experimental breeding program). All cows pasture exposed to bull and should be bred, ( no guarantee that a cow IS bred), except for a couple with young bull calves. Price includes registration to new owner in one registry. These are all pasture animals and have not been trained to halter or milk.

ALL cows are HORNED. Dehorning mature cows is BRUTAL and ABUSIVE so do NOT purchase if you don't want horns.

Jams Fandidundy ( Dun- 2005) $900 A-19688 P-204247
Jams Fandi Flame (Dun- 2005) $900- A-18690 P-204149

Jams Unnamed " to be registered" black parentage confirmed heifer of Ballyverafinis- born in 2005 . Right eye severely damaged by pinkeye $500 Too nice to butcher even with the bad eye and has nice bloodlines. Worth keeping for Dexter babies.

Lots of bull calves for anyone interested in raising Dexter beef. Weanlings to 2-year olds. Priced fair for beef, and a bargain for breeding bulls. ( Around 20 or so)

1 Very short and tame black 3/4 Dexter. Could easily be milked. Won't freshen until after the New Year.
$500, and 1 med height 2 year old black 7/8 Dexter not tamed yet $500. Also, for anyone interested in breeding down to mini cows, I have three white faced 3/4 Dexters will sell for price of beef on hoof. One has small baby heifer.

There are some VERY nice Dexters sitting here for sale people. And for their breeding...they are VERY reasonable!

Sorry the drought has hit you all. We were blessed to have our drought subside and have had alot of rain this year. Hope it all works out for ya Jams.

Is there a list of bulls by any chance? And what their breeding is? Thanks!

If there is a chance of anyone heading towards Western Kentucky we would be interested. Also if you still have some the second week in October we could probaly make a long road trip. Brent

Hi Brent,

We may be going to Judy's sometime in September. Keep my email address GrandmasDexters@gmail.com, we couldn't take them to Kentucky, but could get them to wherever is close like Ohio or something.

Judy probably doesn't check this board often, I'd email her if I wanted more info.
Her website has a wealth of information, some of which can't be found anywhere else. Judy has done extensive research within the Dexter breed.

What is the web address? I've tried PM'ing and when I tried to email, I got some warning about unsafe sites.

Considering she posted those in her first message I think she would be okay with it. Are there any left? Or did you go buy them all Dan?

By George, you are right Ethan, doy! doy! doy!

I missed that and so did Woodspirit.

They are all left to the best of my knowledge. I haven't bought any from Judy yet. Still thinking of when best to go out there. I would love to get some, but that is a long long long trip.

Dan
