On Pasture but Mooing!

Okay, so I thought I could give them a taste of the green and instead they gave me an attitude. Is it because they left their calves in the barn and missed them? Was it the flies that irritated them? They had water. I couldn't make anyone happy today. Our expectant beefer wanted to go out but she is recovering from fly bites to her udder from before. I posted on the poultry site because we just received muskovies to help with the flies. What's a homesteader to do?

Thanks for listening, just a bit of my petty woes. Wait, I failed to mention the children.

Here's to a brighter tomorrow.

I would bet that if they are used to having the calves by their side that was the problem.
I haven't seen cows mooing from flies, usually snorting and pawing.

Ayep, they wanted their babies with them. If you watch closely one mature cow will baby sit the calves while all the rest go off to graze.

Agree on the calves.

When I seperate calves and cows to work on them, both will let me know how unhappy they are until reunited.
