Remember that Ayrshire I was Selling?

Well I bought her Looks like Oinky and company will be in milk for a while. My neighbors dogs have gotten fat and she made a pound of butter the other day. Loves it. I'm looking forward to working with Maggie.

UpNorth???? Did you hear that? I have an Ayrshire.... - three dairy breeds, LOL. Talk about undecided. I hope the move has gone well btw.... waiting to hear from ya'll.

How did the alone milking go this morning at? Will need some of your cheese recipes now: the white and yellow cheese and the fromage blanc, if you don't mind.

Smooth as silk. Milked both girls including clean up in 45 minutes. I'll post the recipes in the dairy forum. There is a definite taste difference in the taste of the milk, butter and cheese between the Guernsey and Jersey......I wonder if it will get closer as they are on the same diet longer?

I'd guess each breed has a distinct quality to their milk, but I'm sure somebody will correct me if that is wrong Karma's milk was never the same as Abby's and they are both Jersey. I doubt Maggie's will even look like Abby's. I miss her, btw.
