Cow family photo, and selling?

February of 2004 got a 5 month old heifer – the black one – ½ Lowline angus, ½ Jersey. Bred her to “miniature” (46”) polled Hereford and got the whitefaced heifer. Bred black cow again to Jersey bull and got the red heifer. Bred black cow and whitefaced heifer to red Lowline bull and got the two heifer calves (red one from black cow, gray? one from whitefaced heifer). Just bred the red heifer to the same red lowline bull and she’s missed her heat.

Anyway, in a little over 3 years went from one female to 5. I’m done experimenting and have decided my original black cow fits my needs. So I might get rid of all besides her and her calf. If interested, PM me for more details. I’m near Spokane, WA.

By the way, I live with my wife and 2 daughters, 2 female dogs, 1 female cat, 20 hens, and 5 cows/heifers. I’m feeling outnumbered.

That's because you ARE!

Nice herd, BTW.

Wow! That's amazing - a whole lotta heifers!

I completely understand where you are coming from - lol. I have a husband and three boys........but now between me and my dairy goat herd - I feel there's a bit more estrogen about the place, lol.

Good luck selling - nice looking bunch you've got there. Wish I were closer. I'd take the angus/jersey cross or the white face in a heartbeat. Do you milk any of them? Other's that are interested might like to hear about that here.

Sincerely;
Niki
