I posted a couple weeks ago about finally finding the girl of my dreams. Well, here she is:

Sorry, DH is following along right after me posting the photos, because I can't do that from work.

Heck no! I'm not a greedy person by nature, but this one is mine all mine!! She is so sweet that you can hug her like a horse And she leads like a dog on a leash. I had her palpated and weighed and vaccinated last week. She weighs 604#, vet says he "pretty sure" she's not bred. We were told she was around 6 mos old, but vet says she's closer to 14 mos old. We don't mind if she's a little older. She's a gem at any age.

Some sort of hairy, two legged animal in the first picture. Figured its yeti, but it seemed to have shorts, not sure if yeti wears shorts, hmm.

Farmergirl,
I am new here and you are getting my first post! I love your jersey heifer! I want you to see my sweety.....if I can figure out how to post a pic.
My jersey steer will be 4 in August and I've had him since he was a few days old. Bottle fed baby and I enjoyed every minute of it. Shirley

Curioius, Shirley, why are you keeping a 4 y.o. steer? Is he a draft animal. Steers are for eatin'!

LOL! That would be my DH. I can't seem to convince him to wear a shirt once it gets hot and humid here. At least he puts on the shorts when he goes outside!

Thank you for your thoughts on her age! I think the farmer I got her from was just guesstimating her at 6 mos because he has a small herd and doesn't write the dates down. The vet guessed the age by looking at her teeth, so you're right there. Would you say she's closer to 10 mos or so? She already weighs #600 and the vet thought that she wouldn't get that big in under a year, though she was still nursing from her mom and any other cow that would let her and eating lush pasture grass.
