Holstein folks, please advise

Simple question, is there a directory of Holstein dairy farmers? Example would be, I'm trying to locate dairy farms in Kentucky or Alabama, is there a quick reference type guide available so that I can make contact with this type of dairy farm? The reason I'm asking is because I may be in the market to buy 8-10 bull calves at one time and would need to shop around for price and availability. Obviously large dairy farms would be a must. As always thanks.....TJ

Not sure of a directory, but you might find some farms at www.holsteinworld.com, you also might want to call the holstein association. Go to their site which is www.holsteinusa.com.

Holstien Directory a good enough starting place. Might exclude lots of opportunities for dairy farms that run grade cattle and don't register them though.
Perhaps State Dept. of AG would have list of milk producer licenses. This would include all dairy farms, but 85% or more of commercial dairy farms are Holstein anyway.
Otherwise place a "Wanted" ad in dairy cattle section of regional farm papers.Cash on the barrelhead buyers who will pick calves up at 3 days old are usually welcomed by dairyfarmers
Good Luck
