Ha! I recently was drenched in a similar fashion, That drench gun trigger is really hard to squeeze...COW backs up! No internal parasites here. Vet was very appologetic.

Did you almost get vaccinated?

A farmer died a couple years ago after getting injected with cow abx. Can't remember the name, but it's one used for pneumonia. Y'all probably know which it is, it's well known for being deadly to humans.

I was getting my cows cycles sync'ed up and stuck myself a time or two.

No ill effects, other than chasing the wife around more than usual.

Micotil. That one is pretty deadly to humans. We don't use it, nor do the majority of other cattle producers in the area. Too dangerous, and too far away from a hospital. I would rather lose the animal than my life if it came down to it. And it doesn't take much or so I am told, even a needle scratch. Lots of others can/will cause a bad reaction, but not a deadly one unless you happen to be allergic (like penicillin).

I got myself with a gun once, lepto-vibro. My hand swelled like a tomato. I called the vet and asked if I should worry about it. He told me I was guaranteed not to slough a calf..............
