Silicone Inflations?

Anyone have experience with silicone inflations and milk tubing. Is silicone(as the ads suggest) way better than the rest? Thanks, Tom McLaughlin

I haven't used the inflations, have used DeLaval silicone tubing. It lasts longer and it's easier to clean, but much less flexible particularly when it's cold and once it's attached to the milker, if you take it off to clean it or whatever it will never go on tight again because of the way it stretches. I went back to rubber tubing.

I use silicone inflations and love them. They are easy to clean and seem to fit tighter on the teat. I'm using them on a bucket milker for just a few cows a day. If you're going to use them commercially, you might ask UpNorth for advice on these.

It seems like they are making 'everything' out of silicone these days. Do the inflations last longer than the rubber ones?
