Calf Help Please...

I have a baby calf, she was separated from her momma and came out of no where. We have no clue what herd she came from she just appeared in the mare pasture where I take care of horses. She was very thin, looks like she's been off her momma for a while. She's ribby, her hip bones stick out and tail bone.

I started feeding her goats milk because thats all that I had at the beginning. She started going to the bathroom and the poo is yellowish. I was told by a person who owns a herd of cows that that could mean Salmonella. (sp?) Could it also be the milk causing this? If its the milk causing this will her poo change? She did have the runs but I used something for scours in calves...The scours are gone.

Thanks in advance.

As long as her "poo" isn't watery, the color doesn't matter.

Ok Well her poo wasnt watery, it wasnt dog poo type, it was messier then that, but it definately wasnt watery. I was guessing it was the milk since she wasnt use to it. She's perky. She even got mad when I left her. Gave a little buck. Lol. My boss is having the vet out at work for her horses so I'll get some imput from that vet to.
