Hi All,
Are these the little Irish Dexter cows? I bought a bred cow a couple of weeks ago and will be taking delivery of her sometime this month. I have raised Saanen dairy goats in the past and am wondering how much hay I should expect her to eat a day?
TIA
Mickey

Yes, they are Irish Dexters. DD has a good appetite. I am guessing she eats about 1/4 bale per day of small square bales. It is kind of hard to gage; because she has been running with the bigger cows which we feed large round bales. They can eat as much as they want.
