Got a Bull Calf today

We went and got a jersey bull calf to put onto one of our cows today. He is just the sweetest looking thing I have ever seen:

I hope you're going to make him a steer? If not, you probably ought to consider it. Jersey bulls are one of the meanest!

He is going to be our bull for next spring and then he will be in the freezer by fall.

None of us around here are good at giving names to animals. Does any good "manly" names jump out at you when you look at him? The kids probably won't get so attached if we name him something like "T-bone" or "Ribeye".

Exactly what we do, raise them, use them and eat them......we have named them so many food names.....Sir Loin was my favorite. Also Chuck Roast, Pikes Peak, Ground Round, Cookie, Rally's, etc.
