TICKS - what to use on jersey milker

I feed garlic to the goats, but we are drinking the jersey milk and don't want it to taste like garlic. She has a sulphur block to lick.

Thanks in advance for any help

they sell a dairy safe powder to go in a rub, but you can just sprinkle it on

We get them occasionally, so just use Advantage - which is meant for fleas on dogs but works well when a couple of drops are put on the ticks directly

Ticks

We use a bottle with kerosene just pull tick and drop in bottle, dont let them get to big. Also will use a little dust we have not used any chemicals in the last 12 years. We treat each and every animal like it is going to be on our dinner table. Glenn

Easiest organic tick KILLER is rotenone. Just don't inhale dust when you rub it in...Tea tree oil might work in a spray, & plain old dusting sulphur will HELP repel them, but not sure-fire.

Guineas are the very best defense against ticks. Beats every chemical.
