Newborn Dexter today

Newborn Dexter today - Cattle Got home from job #2 about 8:30 tonight. The missus gave me the news! My brother called, and said Daisy, one of our registered Dexters, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy! We knew she was due this month (we bought her bred), so this wasn't such a surprise as Pumpkin, who calved, to our surprise on Thursday. I am awaiting the pictures from the camera phone, and will post as soon as I can. Talk about a difference in calves! Pumpkin's is about 80 to 100 pounds, and Daisy's is a wee little thing. Like a black lab and a chihuahua Great thing though, both girls gave birth without problems on their own.

He's adorable!
We have Dexters, and I never get over how cute the babies are.

Congratulations! Looks great!

We just had one recently too. They grow fast. My favorite part is to watch it stick to the momma’s hip. When she turns, it turns and we she moves, it moves. It’s also neat to see it trust you enough to let you pet it for the first time.

Congratulations!

Gotta love baby calves. I like it when they finally realize they have legs and start jumping and running around. Or when they see another calf that's the same size they are.

The worst part is, I live four and a half hours from the farm, so I am missing the fun part. I wish I could get to see this little guy and the 100 lb bull-calf born the thursday before.I probably won't get a chance to see them until May
