Possible pregnant belted- It's A Boy!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...wc/cows022.jpg Well, this picture is really of Dianna, Daisy and Dolly, the Dutch Belted X Jersey. Dianna is a first timer, who was supposed to be bred, but it looks like she didn't take the first time.Daisy's bag is starting to fill now. Not in the shot is a big getle Dutch Belted named Pumpkin. We bought her out of the feedlot back in November, and she was still in milk. She let me hand milk her no problem, and I never milked a cow in my life. The old timey farmer we bought our property from thinks Pumpkin is due soon, as her bag seems to be really filling out now. So maybe we got a two for one deal from the auction. I;ll try to post pictures of her, and update the story when I can.

Forgot to say, Dianna and Daisy are registered Dexters. Not in the picture is Sweet Pea and her heiffer calf, both registered Dexter, and Stew the Dexter ox in training.Dianna and Sweet Pea have been with Yogi, a registered red Dexter . I'm hoping he'll produce some nice red heiffers.

black bull calf

Pumpkin gave birth to a healthy black bull calf yesterday. She didn't come in with the other cows for feeding as usual, so my brother went looking. Found her (actually they both meanderd back) out in the pasture at the top of the hill. My brother said he's a friendly little guy. Looks like an angus. I'll post pictures as soon as he sends them to me. (I'm four and a half hours away)
