Ooopps

If the picture works you will see how things happen.

So what would you do in this situation.

Call the power company they should have to help you out. At least I think that is what she is caught in. Probably tranquilize her and then when she is more relaxed you might be able to get her head out.

Relax the cow and rub some crisco around the neck and see if you can get it lose.
Only thing I can think of right now.

Also ask Power co. to put some type of plate across the towers to save future problems.

I also think a tranquilizer would be needed. Either that or a big knife.
The power company would not be much help since they are most likely paying the land owner monthly for access rights to install their poles.

Did you see the picture I put on the bull thread of what happens when you mess with a bull????

Wouldn't tranquilizing make him go down and break the neck?
Crisco, grease (as in a grease gun).
Dinner?

So now think about that bull picture.
In the last picture you can see the head shadow
of the guy taking the picture.

There is no way I would stand that close to a bull of that size
right after his blood pressure has been raised to the killing point
from the 2 dogs.

You would have to be careful with the tranq. But you would have to give her something or you would never have a chance of getting her out. Grease would certainly help.

Her head fit INTO the opening so it will fit OUT of the opening. I would twist her head to the side and slightly upward, and pull her nose away from the opening. This will present the smallest possible dimension to go back through the hole.

(Sorry if posting a possible solution has spoiled the fun.)

Looks like the thing is bolted together. You could unbolt the upper cross pieces and lift her head up.

The animal looks to be in good flesh. If the animal is not especially valuable I think that I would solve the problem with a sharp knife. Then I would plate the towers so that this doesn't happen again.

Best way to remove her from that perdicament, is to bend the ears back, wet her fur so it will slide, then do as someone else said, tilt the head back, and up then push her. If she put her head through, she can get it back out. Ive seen animals do strange things, and generally they get into it, they can get out.

Depends. I had a goat who stuck her head complete with horns through an impossibly small hole in the barn wall while I was gone one day. Trying to get out all day had swelled her neck up to twice as thick as normal, affectively sealing her head outside the barn and it was impossible to get her out without tearing boards off the barn wall. Which is what we did. So in that case, her head was no longer her problem, it was her neck. She was practically dropping with exhaustion by the time I got her out having been stuck there all day and being unable to lay down without cutting off her air. There was bloody foam everywhere and she was cold. She recovered and kidded out twins two weeks later.
