Looking For A Bull

Am looking for a Belted Gallaway BULL within a drivable distance of Lafayette, Indiana [one hour northwest of Indianapolis, Indiana]. I want a full-blooded bull. Does not need to be registered with papers. I have a small thriving herd and now need an out-cross.

Any locating tips would be appreciated.

I would check the beltie.org website postings. You could place an ad there or even scroll down the website and log into the beltie forum.....register for the email forum and then post a request for a bull within travel distrance of you. I would think that would garners some interest, or possibly someone farther out who might be willing to deliver.

There's the current for sale ads and then I believe you can view past ads. I think some run for 2-3 wks. (Not sure about that.)
Anyway, I remember seeing an ad for a Belted Galloway bull recently. There is a farmer in LaPorte county that has this breed and I think it might have been his ad.
I'm not sure if this is too far for you.

Also, my MIL told me there were some in Kouts, IN. I don't know where or anything else, just what she told me.

BTW, we travel past the Belted Galloways often and admire them so much. Wish we could get a couple. Maybe in the future.
