LOL! Dolly had her calf in between the every 30 minute trip to the barn .... about 2 weeks AFTER her calculated due date

the first two that did, i didnt expect to be first, the one i thought would be next still has no bag, 2 i thought didnt get bred untill june have bags a burstin(the bull did jump the fence one time imagine the odds of both taking first time ) and i have one that went from no bag to huge bag like over night so they will all calve at once and get confused on who's is whose im sure as we have one maternity pen set up at the moment.I'm sure that the one thats in it wont be the first to go now lol. Today is going to be almost 40 degrees compared to 4 degrees, im sure they will wait untill it cool back off to have them.

one im sure is fairly close, i made calf moo's and she started searching lol

we have a winner, the last to bag was the first to calve, little heifer,1 eighth hostien 7/8ths jersey, blonde with some white spots

i will be out checking again at midnite

have had another heifer, but number one has yet to calve, she is holding up the works lol

Here In 70 Degree Sunshine From My View Of The 40acres Below My South Window......big Heifer Girl #8 Is Playing The Waiting Game. I Can See Her Most Of The Day, But In Late Afternoon They Go The Other Side Of The Little Woods Here And Spend The Night In The Back Side Of The Woods........keep Expecting To See A New Little Head Pop Up Each Time I Look Out The Window......for Least A Month Now........

I dont think id sell till they were weaned, better for them i suppose, we are handling them alot tho.

im sure im going to sell 2 of them springish,

I was afraid of that. I so want one to bottle-feed. I heard of a place in Iowa where I might be able to get one under a month old for $300. I intend to check that out.
