Santa is making early deliverys!

Guess Santa wanted to get to me before the bad weather sets in. We have some beef cows that are basically just pets. We don't have a bull because the neighbors didn't want us to keep one, but thats another story. When I got home on Monday there was this beautiful little heifer calf with one of my girls (2 year old red linousine) Suprise!! Didn't even know she was prego, then today our black angus (4 year old)started to go into labor!! We now have a little bull calf too! Someone was sneaking over the fence in February just don't know who! Have registered Charolia on one side and registered Augus on the other. Both calves are very light in color and small. This is the best present I could get after such a rotten year.
Should have seen those llamas they didn't know what was going on and who these new faces were!!

Congrats on the new packages. They look great. I'm betting the sneak was the Charolais.

Cute calves, that darker one will be a nice mousy colour, definitly Charolais in that little one.

Is that a purebred Limo? Something about those ears!!

But Nice lookings calves, and thats a nice looking heifer. It must make you feel good, 2 calves (healthy and up and going)!!

Nope, Cindy's mom was a Brama/beefmaster mix. Thankfully she takes after daddy, who was a registered bull. We lost her mom when she was 7 days old , vet said she threw a blood clot from birthing.
