Question question

I live in ny and the new york state thruway is be hind my barn

When i am outside i always see the tractor trailers going by with load of hay.
does any one no how to contact these guys that sell the hay by the tractor trailer loads?

or anyone in new york state that sells hay that way ?
looking for good quality hay for dairy and beef.

Likely there is a hay network in your state. Call your county ag extension agent. They may be able to provide a link to them.

What you are seeing might be premium horse hay destined for race tracks.

You might also contact the Farm and Dairy , or the Lancaster Farmer papers adn look over there classified sections , i am sure NY has a farming paper or magazine you could check.

Here in Virginia we have Southern States stores. They sell to all the local farmers and know who has what. I asked there for wrapped haylage and got a name. That led me to a man who delivered a tractor trailer load here and waived the delivery charges, after I hooked him up with my neighbor.

You must have a local feed store that can help you.
