Crossbreeding??

Any one crossbreeding with Swedish Red, Montbeliarde or Red Dane???

No, After extensive research we found that the Swedish Red, Norweigen Red, and Red Dane all showed bull proofs with daughters having low udders and shorter legs. Hence, we chose to crossbreed using Normande, Ayrshire, and some Jersey. We have a grazing herd and it gets very muddy in the spring and fall where we live. Taller animals give us fewer chances for a cow to get mastitis.

Even the folks selling the semen gave up on the Norwegian reds, that yankee from Wisconsin made a good suggestion; you might also look at milking shorthorn or look at the New Zealand genetics.......Are you a dairy farmer? Glad to talk cows with you..........Give the hog section a look when you can
