Canadienne cattle

Hello.
I was wondering if anyone on this board has any experience with Canadienne cattle. I have read great things about them and think they would be good for the setting up here, but there seems to be only one person in the US that is raising them. If anyone has any experience, I'd love to hear it.

I had a cow and a heifer. They were hardy creatures. They were to be my milkers, but, despite my best efforts, they were too wild for me to handle. I sold them last summer. They're not common in the U.S.--most are in Canada. There are some U.S. breeders. Check the Canadian Cattle Breeders' Association website for a (short) list: www.clrc.ca/canadiancattle.shtml. The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (www.albc-usa.org) has a breeder guide that also lists a few people.
