Superior Livestock Questions

I was watching the livestock auction on RFDTV and they had 100 head of weaned heifers/steers at 400lbs going for $135. Is that per head or per 100cwt? Thanks for answering my dumb quesiton

Normally the prices shown are per 100 pounds at auctions. Sometimes the auctioneer will switch between price per 100 pound and per animal, you have to pay attention.

I have seen some, mostly animals meant for use in breeding vs headed for the feedyard/slaughter house, sold with the total price being what is stated at the auction, these are mostly good quality bred cows, nice bulls, etc.
