calf trying everybodys milk

We Have A Calf Going Around Trying To See If He Can Suck On Everyone. One Cow Will Let Him But She Has Not Had Her Calf Yet. Her Udder Is Getting Big. Some One Said She Will Not Drop Her Milk Until Her Calf Is Born. Is That True??? His Mom Has A Very Nice Udder.

Hi!
The pregnant cow needs to have colostrum for her calf when it's born, so it's not a good idea to let the 'sampling' continue. The majority of colostrum will be produced 1 week before her calf is born, and it will NEED that colostrum.
Do you have a way to seperate the pregnant cow and the taster?

I had the same thing happen, but my nurser was a 8 month old steer. Seperated them a few weeks, everything was fine. Did end up butchering him early because I didn't want him stealing the calf's milk.

Crowinghen Thanks

I Am Not Sure When Her Due Date Is, I Can Put The Taster In Another Field With Its Mom. But I Have Been Told She Will Not Drop Her Milk Until She Has The Calf. But I Dont Want To Take That Chance. He Doesnt Look Like He Has Been Tasten Her Latley. Maybe He Think She Doesnt Have Any Milk And He Gave Up.. Thanks

Please learn English capitalization rules...your post is a very difficult read...thank youl

(Moderator note: This posting was brought to my attention. I did delete two links, but decided to leave remainder. Yes, when non-standard English usage is presented it is difficult for most people to read. Personally I also have a problem with those who don't use any capitalization at all.
