When is it safe?

What product do you suggest and when should I worm my lactating cow? How long would I have to throw out the milk? and keep the calf off her?

Thanks,

Sue

I bought a product from hoegger goat supply to have on hand in case I needed it. It is called Golden Blend Dewormer. I remember talking with the person and either there was minimal or no milk withdrawal. I haven't had to use it, but I think it was also safe for pregnant cows. It was formulated for goats, but the person said it would work the same, it was a matter of quantity of doseage.

Hoegger's # is (800) 221-4628

Hope that helps

On my dairy,I use cydectin or eprinex - no withdrawl time for milk or meat. You pour along the topline and drink the milk or feed to calf with no problems at all.
