Honet with a severe "bite"

I didn't collect any honey from my 3 hives this year, 2 deeps each. But I got into one and tried some and the honey, not bees, lit me up. It tastes very sweet and about the time you swallow, it feels like a nettle salad. I'm not sure who all has fallen for the "Indian turnip" trick during mushroom season, but This is pretty close. Happens every year if I take it later than now. I was told it is from "smartweed" I have a lot of it around here so I don't doubt them. I just wanted to see what you guys think, and possibly warn you.

Ps. I love the spring honey. clear, I'm guessing from the poplar and locust in my woods. Thanks Blaine

I doubt it is caused by smart weed. I have a friend that has huge amounts around his chicken yards and noticed the bees love the stuff so planted it every where he couldn't mow.

Medicines are made from it.
