Talking Lets talk record keeping.

Kare keeps our records for every hive and bee yard.
She uses those small 4x6 spiral note books. She uses 2 per bee yard.
In those records we know where hive Number one (numbered from west1 to east) is from. Where the queen is from, mite load at each check, honey harvested from each hive and what percent was capped. If they were ever doctored for Nosema creana. And age of equipment.

I have been trying to figure out how we can use a lap top to keep those record on easyly.
Not much out there for useing a computer at all to keep the records like we do.
One is hive tracks, doesn't fit our needs and isn't free either. It may work for some people however.

I don't know if this will help. www.beetight.com Ran across it this winter, sounds like the guy might be a computer geek who got into bees and made a record keeping program. Could be cool if he gets the iPad/iPhone app approved. Its free if you have less then 6 hives and only $15.00 a year for more

Talking

This one won't work well if you don't have an expencive WIFI net work since you have to be on line to use it.

Also isn't very good for those of us with several several more than 6 hives. the books are only a dollar each so we have a whole 6 dollars into them and they last a couple of years.
