Kenya Top Bar hives - Anyone use them???

Hi!

I am about to build two top bar hives and was wondering if anyone out there uses them? I'm thinking about building a mite trap into mine, but I don't want to do too much modification. I've noticed a lot of pictures of KTBHs made by Americans tend to be....well I think we take great ideas and complicate them. I honestly think its part of the human condition. grin. But just wanted to know if I'd be the only one of HT.

I've not... but did some research on them and think they would be the easiest and cheapest way to go. If I were to keep bees that in what I would use.
