IF it is in General Chat area, you will not be able to post for some time .
If it is somewhere else, please post which forum. Looking I see that you've only made posts here.
You do know that posting in General Chat area is for after you've been a helpful and friendly poster in the main HT forums.
It comes after some number of posts and some amount of active membership time.
The site owner is the one that sets number of posts and time, and he does not tell so people will not "game" the system.

Please enjoy posting in the rest of Homesteading Today and help others as you can.
General Chat is for topics that are not HT, in general - the rest of HT is what we are mostly about.

I'm constantly getting booted from the site. I've probably logged in 30 times today. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes it's hours in between, sometimes only seconds. It's really irritating. Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

When you log in, do you X the little box to the right of where you put your name that says REMEMBER ME?

If you do not do that, do it. It should fix things.

Hi, Angie,

I check it each and every time... it's made no difference, I'm afraid.

Just on an off chance, I'll give my first general fix for anything.

have you cleared cookies, and history, and then typed in the HT address completely and come back in that way? As far as I know, nothing has been changed.

BUT, there had been two that could not get in via the saved link but could when the whole address was typed. Kung, had the server operator fix that little glitch.

Hi, Angie,

Thanks for giving this some thought. I know the "clear cookie" trick and will give it a try. Will keep you posted. Funny thing; since I mentioned my issue to you, I haven't been booted once! May I rub your head before the Belmont?

In my senior high school year book you could add a phrase to your photo. Mine was, "If at first you don't seceed, read the directions". Hey, it worked. I had to clean out old cookies. Lost HTD. Couldn't log in. Turned off PC and next time it took.
