Some of my farvorite sounds of when I was growing up were the bobwhites and the whip-o-wills singing, the loney sound of the train horn off in the distance, the bull frogs and tree frogs, and most of all what no one has mentioned yet are the cadedids. Carl

Nothing

No sounds of: motorcycles, cars, bridge traffic, people, bands across the way at Granville Island, no sirens, no whistles and no swearing.

Quiet is best, then the one pure sound stands out and is thrilling: like a coyote at night, the swosh of an owl's flight -- nearly silent itself, the crickets first starting up, the loon by itself -- so we can here them.

Peace and quiet and time to enjoy each natural sound.

Alex
