Well, the plot sickens -- er, thickens.

MN went ahead and fenced it off. Seems he found a lab rat -- uh, lawyer -- who was willing to take his money. Despite the fact that realtors, lawyers, and other owners have pointed out that this is wrong, MN continues to be a real dillweed.

Now the folks have retained legal counsel and the fun is on. (They had to put down a $2500 retainer! Hope the suit gets their funds back...)

I keep thinking of 1 & 2 Kings, where Ahab gets a burr under his saddle because he can't have Naboth's vineyard, and Jezebel gets Naboth killed off. God handled that, I know He will handle this as well. I keep repeating to myself: "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it" and "You destroy those who tell lies; bloodthirsty and deceitful men the LORD abhors."

Repetition helps. If I forget, I start to slip and get myself all riled up, and start thinking REALLY evil things.

<Pony recites to herself: "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it... The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it...">

my MN retained a lawyer but evrytime you make that lawyer call or write you or see you, AHole, I meam MN loses a lot more money off his retainer. Make that lawyer constantly write you letters. I think they pay $300. for a stamp. It may be more or less in your area. Most lawyers will accept a retainer from anyone for anything. gives them practice at being a lawyer. thats why they call it a (practice)

Ooooh, that IS a good idea! Hmm... The folks (who have retained a lawyer themselves) may want to know about this.

Of course, the trick is: How to make MN's lawyer write letters, etc., without having to keep OUR attorney on the clock... But why should they waste their retirement dollars on some jerk who thinks that he can do whatever he jolly well pleases?

You're right about lawyers taking a retainer for anything. A lot of people were surprised that MN's lawyer even took on this case. One even said, "He should know better than that." So, it will be interesting to see how this works out.

<sigh>

Like the deputy from the sheriff's department said, "When it gets to this point, the only people who come out ahead are the lawyers."

(The deputy also had a few well-chosen remarks to make about MN and other people who bring the City Attitudes to rural areas, and how they try to force rural dwellers to abide according to "city rules"...)

Pony, I may need to borrow your little quote there....
So good of you to keep a happy attitude. Dont forget also, that praying for your enemies is as heaping burning coals on their heads.... lol! (That is my favorite one!)
May you come out on top!
keep us posted....

Good reminder, Mama J.

It's just hard to pray for someone who is so awful...

The idea of piling burning coals on such a person's head is kind of, well, cathartic.

But does it make me mean to think so?

Well, it is scriptural! lol!
Actually, I have prayed blessings on an enemy many times. Don't guess it could hurt, could it? I always get a good visual on that one, like where they go after judgement! lol!!
