I'm not sure what I've done to deserve friends like ya'll ...I know ya'll aren't trying to ruin my reputation ya'll are just trying to give me a new one right?
Hey, Neal -- great to hear you and Beth are going to make this one. If I remember correctly it wasn't just breakfast you guided me though last fall. I will add you and the kids to the list. If you will be so kind as to let me know the correct spelling of their names. I know what they are but I'm not sure of the spelling.
LaDonna, if I send you the balance from last fall, will you combined it with what was collected at the Spring one and reserve us a second campsite? We are already over 25 (which is suppose to be the max for each group campsite) I'm not so sure how well that is taken care of -- looked to me like about 100 father and daughters at the site next to us earlier this month didn't it?
The things you think of Corky - I can just see the t.v. crews lined up down my drive way when the feds come to find out just what Marvella and I have going on.
Has anyone heard from Vera lately? She was going to try to get funds together to be able to come again this fall...was wondering how she's doing with that. And how her puppies are doing as well.
Deb, I've already added you and Tina's crew to the list. I hope you do well with your honey ... and hope you have heard we have been having a shortage of honey bees here in Arkansas. Once you get your hives going maybe you can come give me lessons for ours? Our fruit trees really would appreciate your help.
Hugs
Marlene/aka Aunt Mo

Hopefully you will have you hives producing by September mtmama (niece Deb) -- I bet I know who you're first customer for honey will be - our very own Ladonna loves honey. Thinks the cone is a great snack as I witnessed at the last Baker Creek festival.
Your Uncle/Nonk has been out checking on your property here so much that I bet if you ask him he'll have the best hive spot already picked out for you. With you and the boys going to be there I'll have a great excuse to go check on ya'll too. Looking forward to being able to visit in person more often.
Corky, marvella has posted that the flour is on it's way -- she's going to let the mill do the packaging and shipping -- hopefully that will keep the terrorist police from ruining the shipment before it reaches me. Darling that she is she's even adding an extra 5# so I can practice between now and the campout -- you think that will be enough for me to get it down pat like she does 'em?
You think we should change the title of this thread? Might be people thinking it's just some nutcase hitting on people online? Not that I know how you can change a threads title once it's been posted.
How many more days is it??

Along with Leanne (#1 Dog Mom) -- I've added TxRose and Tater to our list of those planning on being in there in September. That puts us at over 30, need to check with Ladonna about how she wants to handle getting the funds she has from the Spring get together together with the balance I have from last falls get together and see about reserving that next site. If my math is correct we should have enough for another group site reservation.
#1Dog Mom - you can wait until September to pay your fees. Hopefully, I'll remember the contributes jar -- we normally just put that out and everyone just puts in their fees on an honor system. We have had some really kind people who have contributed a little extra -- this helps a lot because we can atleast be a little head of the game for the "next" one.
Laura -- it's only 118 more days! You think others have enough time to make plans and get on our list? :haha: I still haven't taken Posi's lead and learned how to savor the memories of the last one before I get all excited about the next one. Just so everyone knows there is a maximum of 25 people per group site and if we wait too long to reserve others they might not be available.
Hugs
Marlene

Marlene, yeah, I guess send me the money....but I think I have enough...so which site do I need to reserve??? We have #3 rightt???? And you are right...I'll be first in line for fresh honey, WITH the comb........... so put me down for that ok???
Marvella, thanks for the vote of confindence....and since I only owe 1800 bucks on my place....I don't believe that I'll be going any way any where soon.......The hard parts over!!! Once it's paid for, I can decided where to go from there.......not sure that I'm gonna build a new house, or just get another reefer trailer, and just put it a bit more than a trailers width from the other one, and put a roof over the both of them, and wall in the [short] north side, and live in the new one. The older one is an 8X44, where the new ones are 53 footer...and I would like to use the old one to store stuff in, use the back[where the double doors are] for my motorcycle garage...the rest of it to be used for storage...........and will live in the new one.....
To all of you who have never been to one of these get togethers, you are in for a GREAT time!!! I have to take a day off after, so that I can get some sleep...as I don't sleep much for 3 days...well, really four, cause the day before, I can't sleep for so looking forward to it.........
Marlene, I too, wonder just what I've done to deserve such friends as some of ya'll..... I feel so lucky, so blessed....

So far our menu has Chocolate cheesecake, homegrown beef burgers, and pralines...oh and Laura has ordered a dark chocolate cake with mocha frosting for her birthday....sounds like my kind of menu....hopefully there will still be some of those great homegrown veggies and other salad makings to balance out the meals
Hugs,
Marlene
