coso dry humidity meaning humidity that doesn't make you sweat so much that on a 80 degree day a 10 minute walk makes you totally drenched.

Valent If we find it, and there's a way to get it, We Will.

NWSneaky Amen

boxwoods I think you got me and Kevin mixed up

gilberte You have a point

I realize that we are asking for what we want. If you don't ask then I guarantee you will never get. As my neighbor quotes to me often "Even the Good Book says "ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE"

Somewhere here in USA the property we seek exist. And upon finding it I hope we can swing the deal to get it.

Norhern BC

Northern BC meets your need, and then some, and very affordable.

I was going to say KY too, but closer to my area. South Central KY, LOTS of farms and such up for auction around here. Even some homesteads listed for sale a bit north of us.

We lucked out on our new place...lots of woods, spring fed, 3 bdrm fixer upper. We're only renting right now, but we've been talking to the owner about buying it. 2acres is big enough for us right now, lets me put out my garden, have my chickens and still have room for the Bug and Sami Jo (the dog) to run and play.

Humidity is what it is around here. Not so bad that you can't go for a stroll, but it ain't the greatest in the world.

Kenneth, I think you are hunting for something in Germany, Bavaria to be exact, LOL!

Ken, you are probably right, I'm getting old. Thought you once lived in Central NY, or was building a cabin there.

I too thought of central NY. With the exception of reasonable gun laws much of the southern tier fits your description.

Do you really need to be outside of town?

I've been exploring an area, I'll tell you about it.

People still wave at strangers driving by.

I got a NON resident CCW in 25 minutes, for $25.00.

I've seen people raising turkeys and chickens in villiages.

Lots of wooded land owned by timber companies that encourage people to hunt on it.

Opening day of hunting season is a school holiday.

All four seasons

Land and houses are very cheap. Taxes aren't bad compared to NY's where I live now.

Now having said that, one last question.

Could you live here?
