Ha! I love old horror movies too. The Birds was pretty funny, have yet to see Night of the Lepus! I remember the best one, me and my friend watched it, was The Exorcist. THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!! Another good one is Toys, I think that's what it's called. It's about possesed teddy bears and jack-in-the-boxes.

Well, you started it Whiterock :haha:

One of my favorite insect movies is. "The Naked Jungle" with Charlton Heston and Eleanor Parker. Army ants attack a plantation and eat up everything and everyone in their path :haha: :haha: I love the old horror movies best. They could scare you more with music and sound effects than anything visual and gory.

i love sci-fi!!! good or bad. i get pretty happy when they start advertising a new one we haven't seen. anyone remember the one with the creatures that looked like white turtles with snake necks---they were called silicas. how about "mars attacks"? one of my favorites is "arachnaphobia".

Mark.........

Don't know if your close enough to get this channel (WCIU) out of Chicago but it's a total hoot. If you can remember a show called "Svengoolie" from way back in time, this is the son of the original man who hosted that show. It comes on at 11 PM saturday and they have a sister channel that shows another movie at 1 AM with the son of svengoolie also. Last saturday's movie was “Humanoids from the Deep!”

Here's the website for info.................. http://www.wciu.com/shows_svengoolie.asp

Locusts seems to be a remake of "Begining of the end" (1957)

Giant grasshoppers destroy a southern Illinios town Ludlow and are headed to Chicago (if thier taking I80 it'll be a long drive).........."the Champaign County police are more sharp-eyed, and pull up near a wrecked car. At the scene they find a wallet, the driver’s license inside indicating that the owner lived in nearby Ludlow. One of the officers is dispatched to the town, from where he soon sends in a panicked call: "Ludlow’s destroyed! Everyone’s gone! Send help! Lotsa help!"

I dont live far from Ludlow. In fact I nearly bought the grade school there years ago as a residence. wouldnt take many locusts to eat up Ludlow. a couple of bulimic ants could polish it off in no time flat and have room to snack on Ellliot,
Sunrise or Chicken Bristle.
