quick question

What type of drawdown should I be looking for in a pressure tank.
At lowes they have anywhere from 20gl to 86gl but I noticed the 86gl only has a drawdown of 7.4gl at 38psi. While their 52gl tanks had a 19.2gl drawdown at the same pressure.

Now I would think the 52gl tank is better because you can use more water than than the 86gl tank before the pump comes on. (why 34gl difference would mean a drop in drawdown I am oblivious).

An 86 gallon tank should have around 26 gallons of drawdown. There must be a misprint or omission in the description. I like these tanks and they can be bought cheaper than the prices quoted here http://wwpp.us/wellmatepage.shtml

the other possiblity is that is not a captive air tank, and jsut a old style pressure tank, but the more draw down the better it will be and the easer on the pump it will be,
