You could always string a strand of electric wire and post a sign stating that it has high voltage. On your no tresspassing sign, state that violators will be prosecuted. The sherrif here thinks that the signs will keep honest folks out. I'm not sure about that, but they have been duly warned.

For problems with mail being stolen or mailboxes being vandalized, make a report to the Postmaster at the post office. They can investigate also. It is a federal offence to mess with a U.S. mailbox. Once you have put that box up it becomes the property of the U.S. postoffice, even though you paid for it. (I'm related to several rural mail carriers)

It's getting to the point where,if you have bulls on your property, better have good property insurance, and signs up. Too many dumb lawyers around these days. If you have a mean horse it's an "attractive nusiance" if somebody comes onto your land and gets kicked by your horse.

I simply confront and tell them to leave

I have reached the point of telling trespassers to leave after I ask them if they know they are on private property. I make sure they leave and note down their license number and vehicle description. On occasions when I am armed, I show very clearly that I am armed and that I am not going to put up with an manure from some stranger.

For trespassers during hunting season, I keep an eye and ear alert to odd sounds and make sure to carry a bandoleer, either military or civilian style, ammo carrier with several magazine loads of ammo in case I do have to use my firearm for defensive use.

Fencing is very difficult here as most of the perimeter of my land is ravine or hill or transition between, mostly rock with a pinch of clay and thin soil for garnish, but where possible I purple paint and put up signs.

Most of the deterrent is me looking like a beast from the hubs of hades when I deal with people, firmly and clearly. I have to do what I have to do as I have totally zero support from the county sheriffs department. When it comes down to it, I am the only one responsible for my life and property. I do whatever it takes to provide the protection.

If you have repeat fence cutting, put down some drill driver screws, or rusty nails, in two by sixes or two by eights, slightly hidden in the weeds or grass in the general area of where the vandalism is occuring. Those boards may just provide the deterrent you need as the perpetrators will be left with a rather clear message not to mess with your property. And there is plausible deniablility as you don't know who messed with your fence, so how could you know what vandals would leave behind in the area...
