The time effort petrol and compassion expended by you is a small price to pay for the warm fuzzies that will be in your heart right now, not to mention the the goodwill from all of us who read this thread. OD you are a nice person.

Talking I say go get him :)

A few months ago I saw a bunch of kids playing with a lab mix puppy in the lobby of our apartment building. This is a pet complex. This poor dog was all skin and bones...and sick. The pound was on their way to come get him and I broke down, even though I wanted a small dog, this poor pup had supposedly been abandoned and running around the halls for almost a week and no one took him in. Needless to say we now have a healthy doggie named Lucky. If you really want this dog and your family loves dogs, let your heart lead the way.

God bless

I wonder if something similar happened to this dog as used to happen in Green Bay years ago.

Teenagers thought it was SO funny to find a dog loose, even if it were in it's owners yard, grab it and drive it to the other side of town. Sometimes the pets were found, sometimes not.

Good for you OD. Glad the little fella is home and you are now his hero. That should bring you plenty of good Karma for awhile.

What an awesome story..thankfully it worked out for the best and most importantly you reached out to this little guy at a time that you really didn't want to. I can only imagine how happy that family is to have him back. You sure blessed them today!!

Thumbs up

You are a good person, OD. If there were more people like you in the world, it would be a better place to be in. Rescues are the best ones. So glad that the dog and his family were reunited. And all because of what you did. You should be proud.

how did he get 20mi from home?
well (yes another tale....sit down) I had a big bloned german shepard once who dissapeared. we looked for a week. we figured someone took her or something.

about 3 weeks later someone was scratching at the door.
it was AMY!
her nose was full of dirt she smelled like creasote, her nails and toes were worn down almost bleeding (obviously from digging) and whe was beside herself to get home.
the only thing we can figure is someone had locked her ina barn, because we searched every building and barn for 5 miles, even old derrick sheds in the woods.
after that she had an intese hate for people who smoked that she didnt have before. i am guessing some sicko thought it was a cool prank to lock her up and leave. how far or where she was who knows.

some sickos just like snatching pets and dumping them apperently.

Wow!!!

That is so awesome! I have a 15 year old Min Pin that is almost blind and almost deaf - she wandered away last Thanksgiving (got disoriented as she NEVER leaves her yard or pasture) and someone found her about a mile away and brought her to me. I didn't even know she had wandered off, and all I could do was cry when I realized how close I had come to losing her - all the rescuers could do was smile and tell me how much I had made THEIR Thanksgiving!! They would not take a reward or anything.... so thank you again OD for picking her up and reuniting her with her family!

Pam <---- still gets scared just thinking about it
