You know, Cats aren't really as smart as they pretend to be. So what does your cat know?

YEA! I'm glad you got him before he was hit by a car. If you don't find his owner tell your cat to adjust the attitude. I kept telling my cats to get over it and now they pay no attention to the four dogs I've collected so far.

My cat took months to make nice with my dog (hyper border mix youngster) and now he rubs all over her whenever he comes home from a hunting trip in the field. It takes time, but if you enforce civility, they'll get over it. I hope you found the owner, but if not, it'll be OK.

Thank you.

Oh, OD... I was really, really hoping you'd go. Let us know if he's the lost doggie, or if you've got an addition to your brood!

Tell your cat to get over himself. Yes, he will give this new addition some of the dirtiest looks you have ever seen, and act like you personally insulted him, but too bad. My dogs come in at night, and the cats look at them like they are scum. Its funny to watch!

You earned your good deed stripes for today. Glad you did it and hope you solved the upset owner's problem as well. Otherwise, he's small and probably won't eat much!

I am always amazed at how fast people can terminate a realationship with a pet. I've seen people with a pet that they've had for YEARS and at the drop of a hat they put them to sleep, give them away, some they've left them somewhere (beside roads?). And most show some remorse for awhile, anyway. shadowwalker

You are a kind soul, OD. I hope it works out-either way. Your cat will get used to him.

Ive had pound rescues, stray rescues and needing new home dogs. They make outstanding pets because they know you really wanted them.Make fiercely loyal pets.We helped a stray get home just a couple months ago, good thing too cause he was huge and we just dont have a place for him.Found the owners in a few days,a few miles away.

So OD,how is your new special friend doing?

Buddy is back home with his family tonight, & I can sleep soundly, not having to worry about him. I've never seen such crying & face licking. He has been missing since New Years Day & they have looked everywhere for him. It's too bad he can't tell us how he got 20 miles from home.

Now aren't you glad you did that?
You really wouldn't have been able to sleep knowing a family was missing their dog and it was out in the elements(or worse yet was hit by a vehicle)
