Wild Rice Caserole

3 cups cooked wild rice (approx 1 cup uncooked)
1 - 1 1/2# cooked hamburger (fat drained) OR 1 cup cooked, skin removed, & diced turkey or chicken
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1/2 cup fresh mushrooms
1 medium onion--diced & sauteed
1/2 cup celery--diced & sauteed
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup

chow mein noodles

combine all the ingredients except for the chow mein noodles in large mixing bowl, then put in covered caserole dish and cook at preheated 400 degree oven for approx 1 hour, during the last 10 minutes of cooking--remove cover to let some of the liquid evaporate.

Remove caserole from oven. Heat chow mein noodles in microwave. Sprinkle heated chow mein noodles over caserole.
