She probably has a baterical, yeast or fungel infection from the scratching. Could be a flea allergy, but could also be a contact or food allergy. The first thing I would do is take her off the Purina one and put her on a natural foods diet or holistic dry dog food. Nothing with chicken, eggs, or corn in it. Lhasa apsos are prone to allergies, including food allergies. Read the ingredients on the purina one and find a diet that does not have any of those ingredients. My current Lhasa, who has food allergies, eats Solid Gold Holistic Blend dry dog food and canned rabbit to get his meds down. The Solid Gold is more expensive that supermarket. but trust me, a good dog food will save you tons of money in vet bills. You can also make a homemade diet. We had Rags on a rabbit - potato homemade diet when he was undergoing his food allergy trials - if you raise rabbit or hunt, that would be a good cheap choice. Vension is also good. For treats, use raw carrot pieces, lettuce, other veggies. No junk food. No rawhides or pig ears. Switch from plastic to metal or glass bowls for drinking and eating in case of a plastic allergy. Also no plastic or latex chew toys. For fleas, use Frontline. Some flea products can cause allergies or just don't work. Is she on heartworm preventive? if so, make sure it's an unflavored pill. Continue bathing several times a weeks, but try to find an oatmeal or non-soap based shampoo. Rinse with cool water to cool the itches. I certainly would not throw her outside for long periods of time. I'll probably think of a few more things later, but right now I have to go bathe my own little guy.
